Default Is the new updated map disk has text to speech?

Hi, i just wonder is the new updated map disk would have the text speech turn to turn direction? Or is it new for the newer Is? Mine is 07 but have the 10.1 version map upgraded, it didnt tell the street name, it just say turn left ahead? Not like my new LX 570 the nav say street name just like my garmin hiiii, i just wonder is the newer updated map does the same?

far as I know you get nothing with updated discs other than newer maps.

(plus the I agree button goes away on its own if you're upgrading from a really old version)

Kurtz is correct; with the exception of removing the need to acknowledge the disclaimer screen, there have been no changes to features or functionality between map discs.

Ohio, go ahead and buy the 11.1 and I'll buy your 10.1 for $60, that means you will only need to spend $90 and you'll have the latest and greatest!

Does updating the nav with a new disc change the interface at all (colors, buttons, etc)? I really hate the look of the new UI on the Lexus display, and want to preserve the dark look on my '06.

TimboIS - I updated soon after I got my IS, so not sure what the old version looks like. If you let me know what you want a pic of, i'll go take one for you to reference.

My nav looks like this (dark buttons)...

The new systems look like this (light buttons), fugly..

I want to be sure, that updating the nav DVD does NOT change the button style.

The update does not change the user interface. The new version NAV disc/usb ONLY updates information e.g. streets, fwy, poi,.
