I am a new-b on this forum, did search the database. Trying to install a Avic N1 in a 2000 Lx470. None of the local guys can find a wiring harness. Need help and or suggestions.
Thanx
Are you installing a pioneer screen and just want the wiring harness for the audio instruction to play through the factory sound system, or are you trying to use the factory nav display in conjuction with the pioneer Nav??
My suggestion would be to go with the new Alpine NVE-N872A Nav system to be out in a couple months (FAR SUPERIOR to any other Nav product), and use the Alpine V-Hub (VPA-B211A) to control and view the Alpine Nav on your factory nav display ( that is I'm assuming you have a Nav equipped LX)
FYI, the BEST NAV SYSTEM IN THE UNIVERSE is the factory OEM Nav on the new ACURA RL (The Alpine NVE-N872A will be very similar to the RL Nav. Alpine makes the Nav systems for Honda/Acura)
if you are meaning a wiring harness adapter to plug into your lx470 radio harness there are no commercially available adapters. the lx470 radio harness is unique and no other models use it even in the lexus models. the color wirijng harness chart would have to be obtained so the shop can match the corrcect power wires to the avic. they cant use your lexus amp as it has avc-lan that prevents it communicating to the pioneer headunit. at least your lexus has a double din fitment possiblity if you use the 2000 toyota landcruiser fascia trimplate and mounting brackets. no other lexus model has a din sized opening without aftermarket adapter stereo housings.
