I have a 2006 IS350 and have the ML NAV radio. I did the NAV hack, with the switch and grounded the brake wire for DVD in motion.

My current GPS version is 8.1

If I upgrade to the current 11.1 will this mess up my NAV Hack?

No correlation. The hack has to do with the system and safely feature. You'll be fine upgrading...

 

I thought 2006 MY came w/ 5.1 or 6.1? I have an 08 and its 8.1. According to Lexus website they do an update each year (mainly in the fall).

When you get 11.1 let us know if you notice any significant data updates.

 

Does updating the Nav version change the look of the display? I like the '06 black buttons, etc.
