What to do when your other beauty ( your gf/fiancée/wife) who knows alot about cars tell you that " your going to ruin that car by putting all that stuff on it" ie mods

 

If it's your fiancé/wife...make her happy

But it really depends on the mods

 

You tell them to get back into the kitchen, before they offend someone.

 

And make a sandwich!

 

Just remind her that upgrades/modes are already scheduled for her in the near future (depedning on age and attributes).

One thing you'll come to find out is there's no logical way to make her understand. Promise you that

Your best shot is to let her know it's a hobby that you enjoy, and pray that she doesnt hit you with the "buying shoes/purses is her hobby"

If your significant other knows a lot about cars, why would she think i.e. putting on a set of aftermarket sway bars not improve overall handling performance of the car? Sure it might seem like a waste of money to her, and some mods are just for looks, but there is a performance upgrade with aftermarket sway bars. She should know what what you're doing will hopefully 1. improve performance of the car 2. improve the "overall look" of the car 3. its a lifestyle aka hobby. Does the significant other have a modded car?
