Default Cracked & Scuffed brake lights

I noticed that my rear lights have taken some damage. My left rear brake light is scuffed near the top of the light and my right rear brake light has a crack in it. What's weird is that my bumper is flawless so I don't think a car ran into my car while it was parked. I'm thinking that it happened at work because the UPS guy is always carrying big heavy boxes by my car to get to the front door. Do you folks know if it will be expensive to replace the lights?

If I were you I would order a new set from Sewell. In my opinion, this is your best option.

Register on their site if you already haven't to receive the CL discount.

New will be expensive, find a used set either in the classifieds or on eBay or something.

Come on man it's hardly noticed .
If I were you I would keep my money until it starts dusting inside , then I'll get new ones.

I'd leave it alone and hope it doesn't get condensation. 09+ tails are very expensive.

I had almost the exact same kind of damage in the same part of the taillight when I was backed into. I found someone selling theirs in the CL classifieds, bought it for $70 and installed it myself in a half hour.

Definitely check the classifieds for a bit before buying new. Many CL members upgrade their tails to '09+, and so they want to sell their used '06-'08.

Thanks for the advice guys. Like A.C Milan said it's not too noticeable but the main problem is that I see it lol. I'll keep an eye out for used headlights.

I don't suppose there's a way to just buy and replace the plastic cover of the tail lights (or headlights for that matter)? You have to replace the entire unit?

That would be sweet if I could do that but it doesn't look like I could just buy the individual piece that's broken.

Out of curiosity, if I would to upgrade to the 2012 read lights would I have any problems? I was reading through this thread last night and it looks like it will be a smooth transition since I have an 09. I figure if I'm gonna burn a hole in my wallet for a set of new lights I might as well make the whole a little bigger and get the 2012 lights.
