This is what I did... you have to make sure the red line from the car matches the red line on the decoder. Even if the clip does not look right.
If that is correct, you may have blown a fuse...
The location of the fuse is in the the engine bay fuse box on the drivers side. Look in the box and look thru all your blue 15 amp micro fuses. One of those are probably popped. I can't remember specifically which one it was so just go thru them one by one...
I didn't get a refund but got a resolution insead..... it works for me
Hope that helps
ordering my kit today and def dont want any of these problems. does the kit come with install instructions? or are they available on the forum anywhere?
Just match up the positive with positive and negative with negative, if you have a multi-meter, that'd be perfect. Most of the Lexus vehicles I've seen have the stock harness reversed so you'll have to plug it in upside down (where it doesn't clip).
However, I have seen a handful of IS/GS vehicles that have the stock harness where it allows it to be plugged in where it clips. The best way to check is to see which side is positive and which is negative.
232lexus sorry about your mishap with ijdmtoy. I have their first pair of slim decoders (at least on 2IS) and never had any problems with them. I installed them last August 2011 along with all other LED bulbs and have been very satisfied. Like many had mentioned, the polarities are very sensitive that the decoders heats up too quick and too much and some decoders you might have to connect reversed.
What I've done is connect the bulbs and decoders then I turn the car on without actually locking the harness in the housing to see if the bulbs would flicker. If the bulb flickers or doesn't light up fully, turn the car off and switch the connection around. Be very careful touching the slim decoders at this point as they get burning hot. Hope this helps those who are planning to do this mod.
Got them installed! The white wire actually connects to the red from the harness. It's the way the plug is actually set up. Im thinking maybe the high beams wiring is reversed color wise. Where the white is the power and the red is the ground. So the red from my decoder is connecting to the white of the high beam. I installed it the reverse and it only lit up Half the LEDs then popped a fuse.
so the OP installed them wrong, threw out the product and then came and bashed a company. Sounds like what some spoiled lil silverspooned teenager from CT would do.
Just plug them in so everything clicks together like its supposed to. That's what I did and mine worked fine. Mine wasn't like the other poster said, red to red and white to black. It was the opposite but that's the way the plugs were made so it worked perfect. Very little strobing too.

so did you connect RED from the decoder to WHITE from the high beam??
I think that Lexus is bi-polar with their stock harness setup for the DRL/High Beams. Some cars can plug it in where it locks, but some have to have it reversed.
Your best friend with this installation would be a test light or multi-meter IMO
LED DRL's work great...picked mine up from their shop last week for my 3GS..people working there were super cool...i read this post before I picked them up and it definatly didnt scare me off...thanks again peep from IJDMTOY... I've been buying from these guys for a few years now and never had a single problem!
installed mine today. Indeed the WHITE wire from the car connects to the RED wire from the decoder. The lights went in without a hitch, and look AWESOME!!! No more yucky brown DRLs! Thanks iJDMTOY!
