3M now do a very nice Brushed Aluminium wrap which looks very nice. So if you are looking for a silver option, i think the brushed aluminium is much nicer than the flat silver color that comes with the car

I tried and failed with brushed aluminum vinyl. The thing with metallic vinyl is that it barely flexed, thus leaving creases, unlike carbon fiber vinyl. It won't conform to the curve. However, I didn't use a blow drier. I'll try that next time.

Either you didnt use the 3M version that i am referring to or you did not apply it correctly. Because i've used both the carbon fibre one and the brushed aluminium one. They both perform exactly the same. I have wrapped many complex trims with the brushed aluminium.

Yup I was the first to do the silver trim pieces on a non 2011 model
Looking at the glovebox trim-- anyone know the part number? Can I just buy the trim or do I need the whole door? Went to Sewell but the diagrams do not help
