Use the actual key inside the fob and use it to pry the plastic cover off from the door handle, you'll see a slot if you look from underneath the door handle. This will uncover the traditional lock that you can use your key to get inside the car. Then if you place the key fob within inches of the start/stop button you'll be able to start the car even with no battery in the fob

I'm always constantly surprised by these threads!!! This was the first thing my sales person explained to me after I bought the car. Even if not...it's all over the manual.

you can also just go to the drug store and pick up battery CR1632 when the warning starts coming on...

use the metal key in your fob to pop the fob open (pry area at the top where the fob came out), replace and voila...

no programming or anything. Definitely do not need to visit the dealer to get it done. I think someone paid $45 at the dealer to replace their battery once...
