Default Trac Off

Can anyone direct me to the "real" story about TRAC OFF on a 2011 IS350 AWD. Is it really off when you hold it down. Search can't find link.
Also looking for F-Sport EPS Tuning Thread? Listed as an Option for F-Sport but can it be done after...?
Thanks

Yes it's really off if you hold the button down (so is VSC)

The steering is controlled by its own ECU- you'd need to swap the ECU.

I've found the IS F ECU to be a better option than the F-Sport ECU. (Recent discovery)

Just sayin'.

I did in November. It was a noticeable difference.

A quick push of the trac button will turn off trac and trac off will be displayed in the multi info display screen. trac will turn back on when speed is reached ( I have heard 30 mph). Push and hold the trac button for 3 seconds and trac and vsc will both turn off.

Thanks. I was told that when you hold, even though lexus says it is off - it isn't completely.
Thanks again

It is entirely off, nothing is on.

There are some models with Auto LSD, etc. (like the Tundra) that require further steps to ensure everything is completely off, but in the IS there are only 3 modes: All On (Default), Trac Off (Press once and release, re-enables after hititng speed), and finally VSC Off and Trac Off (Press and hold for 3 seconds, everything is off at this point and will only re-enable if you turn the car off and back on, or by pressing and releasing the button again).
