Default Help me identify this hose...

Opened my hood for the first time today to replace the engine air filter.... I noticed this hose behind the grill with black electrical tape wrapped around it and it doesn't look like it is connected properly. Is that how it should look out of the factory? Or should I be concerned?

This is a 2006 IS250.

Thanks in advance!

It's normal, nothing to worry about. Mine looked just like that when I was fixing up my front end after an accident. Forgot where it leads to, but maybe the horns and stuff mounted onto the radiator support.

That plastic part with electrical tape on it is a wiring harness... it looks normal to me.

That's normal and doesn't look like a hose, more like a wiring loom.

Yep, the plastic part hides a wiring harness. The section with the tape transitions the harness to a wiring loom. Zero to worry about.
