As far as I know, nobody uses FK20HBR11 plugs with a service interval longer than 60k miles. The FK spark plugs are "High Ignitability Plug" specifications with a 0.55mm electrode. Most Toyota/Lexus models with the 120k mile interval use the much longer life SK plugs with a 0.7mm electrode.

Thanks for the info.

I currently have 122,000 (90% highway)
on my second set of plugs. I'll be changing them next oil change which should put them at 125,000. My car has a smooth idle and is responsive. Currently at 206,500 - 06 IS350

I stopped by Lexus yesterday and purchased the six required spark plugs. 175.00. I figured the prior owner didn't do the 60K maintenance. So curiosity got the best of me and I asked the service advisor about my vin number and he said it was completed at 56000 miles. Yeah, I returned that spark plug gold I was holding. 30.00 for one plug. In another 58000 miles I will be shopping around for different suppliers.

You can always check one of them yourself. See how the gap is, see if there is oil on it and Decide if the rest should be done. I saw on the Mazda Skyactive's they are using a new Nippondenso Iridium TT. They aren't that expensive, like $5 a plug. Has anyone used them? How is coil life on these cars?

The plugs are good for 120,000 miles. Lexus changed the interval from 120,000 in the mid 2000s to 60,000 in the late 2000s for "emissions" reasons. Go figure.

Lexus never rated these plugs for 120,000, ever.

The do have plugs that are rated for 120,000 miles, and they have always been (and still are) rated for 120,000 miles. These are not the same type of plugs that are used in the IS250 and IS350. They are used in the older IS300, as well as the newer ES350, RX330, RX350, etc.

The plugs that are rated for 60,000 miles or 120,000 miles are different designs, the rating for either type never changed over the years. They're not the same plugs.
