Check for a loose gas cap. It's an easy-to-check frequent cause of a check engine light. If it isn't that, you'll need to have the codes read to see what's wrong. Some parts stores (e.g. Autozone) will read it for free, or you can buy your own scan tool (here's a cheapie that should do the trick http://www.amazon.com/Autel-MaxiScan.../dp/B001LHVOVK )
