Default What Fluids Do YOU Use?

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering what type of fluids do you guys refill yourselves (brake fluid, coolant, etc.), and which brands do you recommend? I believe most Lexus dealerships will top off your fluids for free, but I was just curious what you guys do.

Thanks, and Happy Veterans day.

I use tap water, & on occasion orange juice/gatorade. I try and stay away from coolant and brake fluid to refill myself with.
Typically the dealerships have bottled water & coffee but I stay away from stimulants like coffee.

Windshield washer fluid. I used to be a big fan of the purple colored "Peak" brand fluid, but it seems like they reformulated it about a year ago, and I don't like it as well now.

the IS doesn't have steering fluid. Its electric.

I use only OEM fluid for everthing (coolant and brakes). The only exception would be for the washer fluid...its just water and soap.

I guess if i were to ever track my car, or decide to upgrade the brakes I might consider using a different type of brake fluid.

For 39 bucks I take my 07 IS250 to a Toyota dealer (Fred Hass in Houston) and change my oil, they refill all the fluids and put air in the tires for me.
