Default Offset question 20x10''

Hello all im glad to finally join this forum, everyone seems super friendly and helpful I've been lurking this forum for 2 years lol.. I need to summon the offset and wheel fitment gods! Im begining to see that getting a nice staggered or flush fitting setup is very tedious ive been reading the wheel fitment thread for days and am still confused...

I just recently got a set of XXR model 502 wheels at a complete steal of a price and think they will look fantastic on the Lex, the dimensions are as follows..

20 x 8.5 35 offset
20 x 10 35 offset

After googling those are the offsets i came up with. So im trying to figure out first if theyre going to fit or if theyre going to poke out ridiculously in the rear, and what tire sizes you all would recommend. Im also planning on lowering the car with the Megan LP coilovers

I have 20x9 and 20x10.5 and the offsets you listed will be fine. I'm currently running 225/30/20 and 255/30/20. I rolled my fenders and quarters though. You may have to do that. I also have Megan LP's and am really low.

it depends how low u wanna go. I would go with either 255/30 or if you need more clearance 245/30 and maybe shave and slightly roll ur fenders.

thanks for the reponses exactly what i was looking for.. both your stances are awesome exactly what im looking for, i have to say though when i picked up these wheels i was like theres no freakin way these are going to fit! Right now i have some 18x8.5 +35 in the front and rear. a 20x10 just doesnt look like it was meant to work! lol...

maybe at the same time you could help me understand offsets.. im figuring the lower the offset the more the wheel pokes out correct?

Those will look nice...better than what's on there now. Wow..those tires are GONE! Just remember the front bumper tab (where fender mounts to bumper) has problems with wide front tires and low cars. That's why some people opt to go narrow on the front.

that is correct. i like how low your car is sitting with the 18s, if you're gonna keep it that low(which you should) you will need to modify the bumper tab like sffd said. There is a thread on here on how to do that.

Gustavo250, I'm located in South Florida (Davie)

Go narrow on the front meaning the tire? I dont have any problem modifying the fender tab at all im going to have to search for that thread that will be usefull!

and I'am definitley planning on keeping it that low if not lower! Thanks guys again for helping to clear this up.. off to search for the Bumper tab mod..
