Smile Lexus IS250 Tire Pull

I have Goodyear Eagle GT's on my 2007 Lexus IS250. One of the front tires have tire pull, and discount tire is offering to replace one for free. They said because the other tires are have less thread then the new tire that they are going to put on the ride will be off and that i should replace the other front one too! Its costing me about $200 to replace just 1 tire, because the other one is free. What should I do? I don't have the funds currently to drop $200 on tires when the ones i bought a few months ago are perfectly fine. Thanks in advance.

It's when your tires are pulling due to a manufactures defect in the tire. My car slightly pulls towards the right while driving. Usually manufactures replace this if you just bought the tire, but it's been a whole. And I have warrantee from Discount Tire anyways. Thanks!

ok I see. In either case, yeah the other tire should be changed too as a pair. Maybe they could pro-rate it or something?

I think you're missing a word but you said "whole" _____ ?

I talked to them about that and yet said that they wouldn't prorate it becuase they're offing me 1 free replacement already.

And sorry, I meant to say "While" About 6 months. Sorry, my phone autocorrected it.

Okay so, after some arguing I finally got them to replace both the tires for free if i just bought their "Replacement warentee at $23.00/Tire totaling to $46. In my mind, this isn't a bad deal. This was just my experience, let me know if anyone else has this problem.

That's great news. It's usually a one off where you get a bad tire in the mix.

My co-worker who had an M3 who mainly uses it on the track (racing licence), had a bad tire for him as well. In his case, it was not a tire pull, but wheel pulsation. He sort of knew something was wrong because it would do it at high speed, and would be dangerious at track speeds.

Had it checked at a tire shop, they could not find out what was wrong (because they didn't even test drive); skip that shop, went to another shop and that did a test drive and verfied there was a problem. Then then started to mic all the tires and and found that one tire's inner tire area where it would go around the wheel was out of spec just a little bit, so it was like an oval, not a circle.

Considering that the tires he bought were about $500 dollars each, that should not of happened because the tires he got are supposedly x-rayed before they head out the door from the manufacturer. Contacted the manufacturer about the defect and got the tire replaced.
