Default Is this a good deal?

A dealer in Florida is offering me $42,800 + TTL for a 2012 IS350 with Nav package and F-sport package. Part of me thinks this is too good to be true, as it seems way under MSRP. Is this a once-in-a-blue moon deal that I should absolutely jump on?

I should add that the Nav package MSRP is $2500 and F sport package is $2400 on top of the base $40,000 + $800 delivery. So total MSRP is ~$45800.

I think that is a good deal since it's a couple of grand under MSRP. If you could go lower, even better but if not, that is better than what I paid for my 2011 IS350 F-Sport with Nav.

MSRP 45.8K is also like that in Cali, so seems like a good deal.

I think maybe could get a biit better, push it down to the low 42 or lower.

The mark up is about low 8% or so off sticker so you can do a little bit more.

How the fark can you afford a payment like that?
Regardless it is a good deal if you are looking for a 2012... Me personally I'd save for a Tesla model S 4-door.

I'm speaking for CA cars when I say you can do better. Try to work with invoice pricing and not sticker. The 2IS has been out for a long time and they should be selling at invoice or less. There is no question the factory is helping dealers move these cars, whether it's publicly announced or not.
Also keep in mind an all new 3-Series will debut this Friday, which could knock down the IS price a little further.

The fact that a dealer is 'offering' you something should tell you it can be lower.

My '09 IS350 with Nav package is a lil over 39k when I got it. I heard prices have gone up but I believe you can work them lower.

A $45800 sticker has a $41224 invoice.
So-so deal.

Thanks for the tips and putting it into perspective. Ok, so now I understand that I want to go below factory invoice price (which dealer said is $41,800). As it stands now, I will probably not be buying this car - at least at this price. What is a great price that you would not be able to pass up on? Like the kind you might be jealous about? The wife is not thrilled about this car, but I am, and I really need a reason to convince her that this is a once-in-a-lifetime deal.

Thanks again!

According to truecar.com,a $45800 list has a $41224 invoice and that includes the destination fee.The dealer is lying.
What a surprise!!
I don't think a dealer will go under invoice on a '12 IS350 at this time.

Invoice is very good but $500 over is good,IMO..

Truecar has $43,224 as a good price on that $45800 sticker.
Seems a bit too high to me but I have 5-6 Lexus dealers in a 25 mile or so radius so more competition brings lower pricing.

The dealer is continuing to email me - he really wants my business!

Based on what I learned here, I told him I'm looking for a price below factory invoice. We'll see what he says. It sure is nice doing this over e-mail nowadays, instead of face-to-face or over the phone! Lot less pressure.
