I feel for ya. I dropped a socket from my wrench and did something similar. Touch up paint was used to the max.

Most had no idea what I was talking about. The page is misleading and is not a 3M installer page.

Is it a hard job to DIY the 3M Bra or a competitor clear bra film?

You need to take your car to New Orleans...

New Orleans is 300+ miles due south one way. Now Shreveport, LA is 100 miles West one way down Interstate 20 and I go to Shreveport, LA once a month to my Doctor. This is where my Lexus dealership is.

I had no luck in Shreveport neither with any "clear bra" installer.

I have a few nicks that I have touched up. Looks "okay" but that is to be expected. Better than rust. There is no way to avoid rock chips.

Someone mentioned getting a rock chip between the edge of the hood and the beginning of the clear bra. If you end up getting one, have the edges "wrapped" where they wrap it under the edges of the hood. It looks better and offers more protection, that is how I have mine installed.

Haven't read every response so not sure if this has been posted or not but it is 3M's directory of installers.
