Is it me or does anyone else notice how our cars are very proned to getting chips on the hood and front bumper. I notice every little thing on my car. The other day i was washing my car and noticed a bunch of new chips on my hood and front bumper last week i went on vacation to the jersey shore thats when it must of happened i rarely drive on the highway. does anyone else notice this? Does lexus use cheap paint or what? my other cars had chips on the hood but not like this
Yes that has been a huge issue with me, I hate seeing those rock chips. You may want to look into a clear bra after you repaint the front end, if you plan on doing that. Those rock chips bother me so much I am willing to do what I can to prevent them.
but do you really want to deal with the clear bra turning yellow after a few years?

You know whats funny, I keep hearing this all over the forum, but then I talk to people that have the clear bra, at least a good quality clear bra, and they state no problems at all with it yellowing. Either the people that had problems with it yellowing dont take care of it properly, or they have cheap quality film. I will take my chances, if it does yellow then I can just peel it off and be chip free. Better than spending $600 every year to repaint the entire front end

How much does it cost to have the front bumper and hood repainted?
