Default IS250 HID Problems

Hello forum,

i did some research and it seems as though many have experienced what i am experiencing. when i turn on my hid headlamps, they turn on however after a few minutes my passenger side always seems to go out. i can turn turn my lights off then on and always seem to come back for a few minutes until shutting off again (passenger side). many have blamed the bulbs, others the ballasts....i am going for the cheap option first...BULBs. where can i find OEM HID bulbs for relatively cheap (08 IS250)? Can i trust the oem bulbs on ebay for $40? Thanks.

Ebay (EPrey!!!), is more of at your own risk unless you absolutely know that the person selling a product is 100% legit.

Why not swap right with left side and see what happends? If the bulb turns off on the other side, then you know the bulb is out. Then just get a new set of bulbs and put them since there maybe a color difference because of the age of the still functional bulb. If the same side still turn off, then it's ballast.
