Default head lights

2013 is250. passenger headlight is cracked and looking to replace. i have factory HID lamps and the pricing of them are insane. $750 ish for oe replacement. is it possible to eliminate the HID and use halogen which even comes with bulbs

I second the used parts choice. You can reuse your ballast and bulb or morimoto bulb set are like $60 new.
As for the other part, you'd never get proper light output from a bulb conversion.

Consider this another vote for fixing up and using the OEM HID setup instead of trying to go halogen. There are 2013 IS250s that came with stock halogens, so you could probably swap in a whole housing, but they use H11 bulbs. Your D4S bulbs put out somewhere between 2-3 times the amount of light output...trust us, you won't want to go back to halogens.

I am planning on going with these .. I looked up used light everywhere and I can seem to find any that isn’t broken or the chrome insides not flaking

oem are around 5 to 6 hundred more. in all honesty i might just go oem being that i know all functions work. as far as asl. although i have heard rumors them when you lower your car that function goes away ?

ASL? do you mean AFS? No, AFS does not go away if you lower your car (I am lowered on BC Coilovers). AFS does not work with aftermarket parts, so you will have AFS light if you go aftermarket. The only way to fix that is to remove the fuse or removing the light in the cluster.

No side to side AFS on 2011+ only auto level. Check the Depo Headlights thread.

I’d go with OEMs as well. They are the whole looks of the car up front and fresh new LED’s are as bright as can be!

Yes sorry AFS. And yes I went to the dealer over the weekend .. they told me exactly $999.98 for each 🤦🏽*♂️ But I’ll get it .. I see that sight you sent me. I’ll look into them.. I’ll assume they are exactly the same as my 2013 ones beinging that is says 2011.. crazy how they change it up so much
