Any1 know how to remove thread off the shifter stalk?

Done this before. I usually hook up the Shop Vac and let the hose inlet rest right behind where I'm cutting. No clean up or mess.

Hey I'm going to do this since my new shift **** is the same size as the stock one. I have a saw I can use, just curious, did you just cut down the threading lower and your shift **** threaded on fine? I too am scared of cutting mine.

I did cut mine. My **** threaded on fine. At first I thought it wouldn't but after some weight on the top of the **** while twisting it down, it took. Good luck.

BTW, I used a dremel

Thanks for the quick reply. How much threading did you leave on there? It looks like to get it where I want I'm only going to have like 1/2-3/4 inch left.

I have literally 3 threads left... I REALLY hacked mine down.
I have about 1/8 of an inch of thread on mine
