Jay you were more than a helping hand buddy,thanks again. and yes the $50 cure worked for me. Really it's more like a $20 cure, all you really need is a circuit writer pen, I bet my *** the culprit pins are always the same, 1 and 3.
And if ur slick return the pen for a full $20 refund make sure you keep your receipt

Looks like u can do this fix easy. I tried to follow the directions but I only had soldering iron and tried soldering all 4 PIns ... No change . Can I Pick ur brain on the correct way to do this. Im new to the forum and have read the DIY but am not too circuit/electrical savy.
I just fixed my touchscreen using that method and it worked. I resoldered all 4 traces on the ribbon cable. If your in the Bay Area, I could help you. PM if interested.
