Anyone ever rewire the parking lights? Here was my thought:

Rewire park lights with an ignition on source (stay on all the time, becoming DRLs) then have the dealer turn the DRL's off

Any thoughts?

Or you could go the easy route and just turn on your lights one click on the stalk which turns on your parking lights

This, haha. The issue with that setup (dealer disabled DRLs, use your parking lights instead) is that the parking lights are significantly less bright. In fact, you can only really see the parking light at night, even with the brightest LEDs. You're comparing a 168/194 base LED/bulb to a 9005 base.

^^ It sounded like it. When I replied to their Backorder notice email, I mentioned that I was willing to wait for the newer/slimmer design because I thought that was the reason for the delay. They replied that they would indeed send the slim decoder once they had them back in stock.

So I know I'm getting the slim, but I'm unsure if that's what I would have gotten had I not mentioned it. But if you're specific then they will be able to send you a slim.

Below is my response from iJDMTOY in regards to the slim decoders....

Ryan,

No, we don't have them yet. Can you please let the ClubLexus guys know (to those who are wondering) that I will post up a thread on the forum once it is available.

We have so many guys asking for it, but I keep telling them it's not going to be available until I announce it. The ETA is 1-2 weeks for them to arrive here.

For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at anytime.

Sincerely,

Thura

FYI, I received my ijdmtoy slim decoder setup this weekend. Didn't have a chance to install but they also emailed me saying I was getting a prototype. So I'm not sure what that means for the wait times.

I'll try to take some pics of the hardware but I'm unsure when I'll have time to install these.

Most likely you received a older prototype decoder. iJDMTOY has already finished the prototype phase of the decoders and the actual decoders are on their way from China according to Thura at iJDMTOY. I spoke to her on monday (3/5) and she said they will be in sometime next week!

I got my updated DRL decoders a few weeks ago. They fit perfectly in the headlight houseing and the blue from the LED looks really good during the day!
Call iJDMTOY or send them an email if you want the new decoders.
