Default Dent on a new IS

I purchased my IS 250 AWD 4 days go, and after I took it home, I noticed a dent on the roof. It's the size of a nickel, and very noticeable if you're looking straight at it. I didn't see this because I was so tired when I picked it up...spent about 6 hours at the dealership doing paperwork for it and my trade.

I called the salesman the next day and he said he would fix it for me....and it was fixed today. However, when light shines on the roof, I can still see a small visible paint smudge on the spot where the dent was.

Should I just live with this imperfection, or should I be more aggressive? I bought a new car so I expected it to be perfect....sigh.

If it's a brand new car, it should be new and perfect. Talk to the dealer again about this. I bought mine used and have a small dent next to the shark fin. I live it and my friend got his roof nailed with dents after a hail storm. He got a $2500 check in mail from insurance but is using it for college tuition and dealing with the dents lol.

so what should I say to the salesman? "I want it to be perfect?" I don't want to sound rude, so let me know if there is a good way to tell him...

How about, hey listen I am a neat freak and when I came into Lexus I didn't see a dent included in my buyers order. I work at a dealership.

I can be a true a** when I want things done right. I mean, if I paid money for it I want it perfect. If you approach them in a "non-rude" way they will as the other guy said "wipe their butts with you". Go in aggressive, you want things done right!

I'm going to let this sit through the night and see how it'll look in the morning. A friend of mine says that it might go away later since it is just done. And after all the paperworks and stuff, it really is a pain in the *** to trade for a new car again...though I would like a ML system on it lol. The salesman told me that the IS didn't come with one so I was partly disappointed, but I found out later on the Lexus site...urgg
