Default big 3 - alternator + cable

hey guys for those of you who have done the big 3, how did you do the power from the alternator to the battery? My cable end ring seems to be too big to hook into that little stud with the nut on the top part o the alternator.

Any input would really help!

Get a smaller terminal spade for the wiring?

Exactly what I was thinking. Should be pretty easy.

its just hard finding smaller ones that fit the 0/1 wire, ill look online, i think some people add a fuse between the alt and the battery too so ill do some research on that.

Typically, the positive wire goes from the alternator to the starter. There's a fusible link in line to protect the alternator. The starter has a large wire that goes to the battery for starting current.

I thought that the "big three" was adding larger ground wires to the alternator, engine, battery.

no although some people also upgrade the battery to starter cable. big 3 is ground to battery, engine to ground, and then the postive alternator lead to the battery this is why they add the fusable link since your now bypassing the starter. Keep in mind your not replacing the stock wiring (in most cases) current will travel the path of least resistance.
