Default Coolant Every where in the engine Bay

So everytime i open my hood i seee dried up what i believe is coolant all over the plastic covers, Actuall all OVER the place. I believe its coming from the overflow tube, which is that short tube also connected to the coolant reservoir cap. First should i just refill the reservoir up with the 50/50 stuff from lexus assuming the previous owners filled it with that? and anyone have a solution or know why the overflow tube is shooting coolant out everywhere?

Happened to me before, thought the dealer spilled or something but i guess it might be a common occurrence. Would like to know what the deal is too!

That shouldn't be happening, check the cap. It might not be holding pressure correctly and releasing it when it gets too high. Replace the cap, clean up the coolant and see if it happens again.

Have you noticed whether your temp gauge has been moving pass half way...closer to H? What I suspect is the water pump, since these cars are notorious for that. And if not then a headgasket.

this is a great maintenance tip. but because the cap is beneath the engine cover, it's not going to spray all over the top of the covers.

most likely its from the vent tube.

My bad, forgot the engine cover probably covers it on our cars

make sure the coolant is just at the L level, anything above it will always make a mess
