Thought I read something that they were going to have a redesign on the 2012 IS. I've searched the Internet with no luck. Trying to decide if I want a 12 or try to haggle an 11 when the new year kicks off.

 

The earliest you'll see the 3rd gen is the 2013 model, which will be out mid-late 2012.

 

man lexus should start teasing potential customer with some camouflaged IS going around towns like the way bmw does. i had a bmw before (sold yesterday and bought is350) and everyday there was a news or some shots on this new camouflaged bimmer spotted in some town. may be lexus likes to keep things secret but i think its a great idea to do what bmw is doing because it will get more news and attention. just go to like bimmerpost forum and you'll always see some camouflaged bimmer on the first page.

since the 3rd gen is coming out next year, should we be considering trading in or selling our current 2nd gen while it will still hold value instead of doing it when the 3rd gen comes out?

 

Why do you assume the value will drop when the 3rd gen comes out?

I would wait if i were you... Just like back in 05 when the 2IS was gaonna drop ppl didnt want to wait and got new 05's and blah blah blah. But when it dropped!!!! they wish they would have waited.

I believe the 3IS is going to be that much better. Thinking IS370?

 

Can we get a ''next is'' sticky? This comes up every couple days, it will probably similar to the next gs and come out as a '13 late next year, also rumored there'll be a convertible, a sedan, a 2 door.

 

This. These threads are clambering around the 2IS section and causing a mess. Not that I'm not excited for it.

OTOH I spoke with a sales rep from Coliseum Lexus and he says the 2012 GS will be released in the fall while the IS will be released shortly thereafter, either late 2011 or early 2012 as a 2012MY.
