Default TPMS Sensors

Is it okay to drive around for a few days on rims with now TPMS sensors? Getting my rims painted thats why. Has any one done this?

I take it you mean without sensors. If so should be fine. You'll just get that exclamation warning light on your dash.

Of course it is, just make sure they're properly inflated.

Other than the ! on the dash, does a message come up on the center panel?

I don't have mine calibrated right now so I get the "!" and a "CHECK SYSTEM" warning... but as long as the tires aren't leaking you'll be fine.

Have you ever owned a vehicle without them?... no problems with those.

Yea, everything will be good. Like everyone else said, that exclamation point warning is there and kind of gets annoying, but since your only gonna have it off for a couple of days; all will be good.

Thanx guys, I just changed um. Its also my first car with TPMS sensors in them and man they are a pain . I had an Acura TSX b4 the Lex and mine was the year right before they put the TPMS sensors in them. I'll post pics after my rims are painted. Thank you again for your time
