Default Can you spot the difference?

Between the 06-11 2IS? Some model year changes are drastic and some make you do a double take. I can tell the diff between almost all except the 350 09 vs 10. 06 no shark fin, 07 shark fin but light grey rims, 08 smokey rims, 09 250 new tails & awd style rims, 09-10 350 new lobster claw rims but not sure how to tell diff otherwise and finally 11 has pink blinker tails, rims, etc.

Anyone know how to tell diff between 09 & 10 350?

06 has first front bumper style
09 has second front bumper style (built in lip, with a different grille) along with blinkers in the mirror housings
11 has third bumper style, and new headlights with led strips

subtle differences you really have to pay attention

06,07,08 ... 06 and 07 have really no difference besides shark fin ..so if its got a sharkfin then its most likely an 07

For 07 and 08 .. the main difference would be the rims ... the 08 has a liquid graphite 18" rims..

for 09 and 10 .. 09s did not come standard with bluetooth .. 10s did .. so if you see a facelifted IS without a bluetooth button on steering wheel then its most likely an 09

11 should be obvious

starting 2008, they had the revised front seats which allows more leg space in the rear.

the liquid graphire rims are 2008 18" rims only. any is250 w/ 17's or 250 awd would have the same rims from 06 and 07.

starting 2008, they also added the coin holder to the left of the steering wheel (which is almost useless lol!)

2009+ had the revised interior. particularly looking at the center console, the buttoms had a small bump in 06-08 but now are flat buttoms. the console in 09+ also feature an extra bit of chrome trim. if i recall correctly, 06-08 had a white colored digital clock whereas the 09+ have a turquoise/green colored clock.

2009+ also featured a new wood color (the black colored wood) as opposed to 07-08's auburn color.

2006 had onyx black and crystal white where 2007+ has obsidian black and starfire pearl.

i believe in 2009 they removed desert sage metallic and golden almond metallic.

2009+ had a revised front bumper and revised rear bumper. the rear bumper now has an extra crease across.

2011 now features another new front bumper and revised headlights that lose the option of adaptive front lighting but gain an LED strip. F-Sport models feature blacked out headlights where as other models feature the standard silver chrome finish.

2007+ models feature a shark fin

2009-2010 feature the lobster claw designed rims for 18's and for 17's, they're a rounder multi-spoke design.

09+ models have the option of installing an f-sport grill. 06-08, 09-10 and 11 each have a unique front grill design.

2011 models also feature new pieces of aluminum? on the steering wheel (or silver colored plastic). its 18" rims are similar to x-package rims but reversed in depth and on the dash, there's an extra strip of silver around the speedometer and tachometer. f-sport 18" are also different.

09+ models have a usb port in the center. next to the aux jack. they also feature lexus enform and a new GPS version.

09+ models also have a revised moonroof/sunroof switch(s).

and this is where i get lazy to think of anymore lol

Yeah, the revision on 2009 models was completely cosmetic except for:

AUX/POWER jacks in center console were moved to make it easier to use with the lid closed

Paddles work in D (but still aren't shifters)

Sunroof switch changed to the more "basic" style

The (IMHO ugly) turn signals on the mirrors

It's 2010+ that got all the telematic upgrades (BT without nav, A2DP audio, the next-gen nav with hard drive and realtime traffic, the USB port w/ipod interface, XM built in, etc)

I dont know were that came from but no matter what year there is no leg room back there. Compared to my friend 06 to my 08 it the same cramp room.

No, it's not.

The front seatbacks were revised on 2008 models for added legroom.

I'm not so much talking about the exact upgrades of each model year but more so just being able to tell what's crusin next to you on the freeway. I think someone already pointed out that the 09-10 is the only model year that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from (at an exterior glance).

Well the amount of foot room is about the same, but how much knee space is really what increased (by a bit, not that much).
