Please bare with me, I am learning about Rims.
I know that my IS250 AWD came with 17x8 non staggered, 5x114.3 and I was so proud.
then someone mentioned offset--what is that? will +50 offset fit my stock car?
I am trying to put the rims from a GS300 on my car.
Any help appreciated.
thanks

If my memory serves me right your stock offset is +45, which means +50 will not work without a spacer.
The less the number the further the hub of your wheels is to your outer rim I believe.
Try tirerack.com they have a pretty good explanation of it.
example a wheel with a -5 offset will stick out very far and if it has a lip it will probably be huge.

would i need longer bolts? which are spacers, the thing that looks like a shim, or the one with bolts built into it?Originally Posted by Vroomin350
