Rearview Mirror (Pattern Wear)
Hey Everyone I need some help finding a certain TSIB, I had found it a couple days ago online and cant seem to find it anywhere even thou I'm fairly sure my Lexus dealer will know I want to have it with me. My Rearview mirror (autodimming) has a pattern of wear like small little rectangles across a straight line about 8-10 little ones. I searched everywhere I could today and am bringing it in tommorow and wanted to be prepared. If anyone knows or can help me find this TSB I would greatly appreciate it and if anyone knows if they will replace or repair items that had a TSB and is out of the orginal 4/50k warranty and I am on a Platinum Extended Warranty now if its covered still.
Thanks !
Thanks !

Where are these rectangles on the mirror? I haven't heard of this... only the shaking mirror TSB.

I've got the same pattern-wearing on my rear view mirror but I've learned to sort of ignore it as I have with the vibration. I'll try to snap a picture at lunch and post it up for reference.

It's really difficult to capture on camera (via cell phone camera at that), but here's what I managed to snap:
It's hard to see, but if you look closely at the areas I circled, there are really aint dark lines. It looks like the kind of fading you see on really old mirrors. There's a square pattern, but the photo makes it difficult for even me to see to point it out.
