Default Should I even lower it?

Even though my coils will be here today im startiing to wonder if I should even lower it. I upgraded the wheels to 18" which looks similar to the stock 17". I like how the ride feels now and am really worrying about ruining it. I know its all a matter of opinion but whata you guys think? does it look that much out of place with the bigger wheels and no drop?

what coilovers did you get? this is my own personal experience, but bc racing (when set to the 'softest') provides a pretty close ride quality with OEM.

when you see another 2IS with 18s on the road, do you look and think, "that car would look better with a drop"? if so, id recommend dropping yours to get the look you want.

regardless, if youre concerned about looks, i would personally drop it to a level that at least matches f-sport springs.

I'd say since you have the coilovers already, put it on and play with the dampers. Then judge for yourself if the look is worth the difference in ride quality.

I've set my coilovers to a pretty soft setting and it doesn't bother me or my parents.

You'll like it either way. You could always raise it to stock height.

BC coils should be here today with the standard spring rate. Yes I am concerned about looks but also ride comfort, lol. I guess Ill just get them installed and play with the dampening. Im only lookin to lower a little, like Benz, Audi, BMW style. Between an 1" to 2" gap. I hate to **** all the money away to have them installed, then removed if I dont like them but whatever....

Puttin it at stock height would be like wastin ur money lol. I would suggest puttin em on, settin it to softest since someone said that's close to OEM comfort, and lowering it as much as you can with out scrape or rubing.

I agree with everyone here.. Put it on.. adjust to your liking.. Remove a little of the gap.. I have BCs and i love them.. i'm at no fingers in rear and no fingers in front on 19"s and the ride is great..

I am debating the same thing as you... I didn't want to lose the ride comfort but I don't like the 4x4 look. Since you are getting them, might as well give them a try. Now I might want to get some coilovers for myself too if it keeps the ride similar to the stock ride.

Yep. Lower it...it looks like a monster truck.

Don't worry- mine does too.

I'm still debating on whether to get springs or coils.

Yeah...you bought them! It looks better lowered. Low as possible I say but then just ask yourself if you want to deal with issues that come with riding low. If not ..lower it conservatively. But if you don't lower it with your coils...you just wasted some money IMO
