Rain Issue
None of the cars I've previously owned leaked immediately after opening the door. The problem is water collects in the upper door jam, but there's no molding or lip to keep it from falling down when the door opens.
Not a design flaw....its actually the weather stripping. I got all four of mine replaced both door side and body side for free under warranty. All you have to do is prove to the dealer that the water remains on the plastic door sill after rain or a wash (which mine did), and they will replace them no questions asked. They said its a cheap rubber weather stripping that Lexus started using a few years back that warps in hot weather. They began using this softer rubber because of complaints of doors freezing shut in extremely cold weather. Now, no mo' dripping or water seeping...AND...less road/wind noise too. New weather stripping FTW!!
