I Plasti-Dipped my OEM wheels!
Just wanted to see how my car would look with black rims since I'm planning to get Linea Corse LC818s in black. Now that's out of the way, an intake is next. After that, should I go for an IS-F replica spoiler and roof spoiler on eBay or LED Tail lights? I'll end up getting all but just wanted to see which I should get first. What do you guys think?

they're cool.. I was wanting to do this on my IS but I'm too lazy. yeah thats crazy I want the Linea Corse LC818s too! When you get them satin black will look good, you should also look into getting some coilovers and lowering your ride.
I think the spoilers will look a lot better on the car as well. Good luck with your modding!

I would like to lower it but I probably won't. College is coming up in 6 months so I won't have money available for coilovers or springs, which I'm not wanting. I still got to fix my front bumper after it scraped so hard leaving a parking lot, the wheel well linings popped out of place. So many times I've been lucky because at the height it's at now, I barely cleared the thing on parking spots. Other reasons is I drive through Chicago winters, which can get loads of snow. There's also lots of pot holes and I'm planning to add a lip so lowering it won't be in my plans.

OP, did you do one wheel at a time? jack-up, remove wheel, spray, wait, spray, wait, spray, repeat?
it seems like the whole process would take hours upon hours. and i dont feel comfortable leaving the car on a factory jack for that long. what was your method?
general question: do you think plastidipped oem 18s on a white 250 would look off w/o a drop? (i already have a white and black theme going with the grille and emblems)

Plasti-Dip is basically spray-on vinyl/rubber. Lots of people use it mainly for their grilles and emblems. It's removable so I can just tear it off to get back to the silver wheels. They cost only $6 a can and two can cover all four wheels.

What I did was loosen all the lug nuts on the front wheels. Jacked up the driver side front with the jack in the trunk and placed a jack stand underneath. Did the same thing on the other side. Then, I wiped both wheels with a cloth and Plasti-Dipped one and went to the do the other. While one is drying, I was doing the other and when finished, come back. I just did two heavy coats. Once done, mounted the wheels back on and torqued them to 76 ft/lbs. The temps in my garage was 45, outside was 37 so it took longer for it to dry for me. And do the same for the back. The factory jack is pretty sturdy, I wouldn't be scared to leave it holding up my car for hours even though it's intended to replace flats.
A picture of your car would really help, but I'd say yes. If I had a white IS, I'd black the grille, emblems, roof, and the wheels.
