My first impression was the car felt overall just cheaper and less luxurious then my 07 IS350 with NAV.
The car is a 2010 with the upgraded mirrors and the dark wood interior all black interior silver exterior.
The mirrors are smaller and in my opinion give less visibility then my 07 mirrors. The redone sunroof control panel looks cheap and so does the newer rear view mirror.
Power... OMG WHAT POWER!
Brakes? Yeah the car feels so sloppy without a nice set of front brakes the IS350 comes with.
Overall it just feels like comparing apples to oranges...not even the same car experience I get with my 350.
I do want the dark wood interior though and would love to trade someone for my red wood!

"the car felt overall just cheaper and less luxurious then my 07 IS350 with NAV." huh? lol
Everything is updated on the 2010's vs pre-2010's.. the navi.. the wood trims.. the interior buttons.. and etc. It maybe much slower cause is a 250 but everything else is been upgraded(vs pre 2010's)

not at my dealership they give you the xpackage, nav, envision, xm radio etc so that you trade in your car. Ive spoken to alot of people when i do decide to wait in the showroom that bought a new car just because the loaner was so much cooler then the car they dropped off for a oil change/service.
I personally think the 07 interior looks nicer than the 2011/2010 simply because i like that silver finish on the Head unit and the AC vents above the nav screen. I also agree that the sunroof controls are nicer on the 07. However technology wise the 10/11 destroys the 07. The live nav and USB made me want to make a switch.
If I had to chose between an 07 350 w all options and a 11 250 with all options id go with the 2011 but thats because speed isnt really my thing. Also I know i can upgrade brakes But to each their own.

Technology is obviously nice on an equivalent model and that's not what I was saying. I was saying a base model IS250 especially a newer model didn't feel half as nice as my IS350.

I agree, the updated sunroof switches do look cheaper. But the slimmer sideview mirrors are more carlike. The view would be something you'd get used to quickly if your car had them. Even the newer slim ones are large compared to most others in this class.
The wood... I think the grey color wood looks bleak and dire with the black interior. There just isn't enough contrast of color. The red wood with black leather has a richer and classier look IMO. I think a nice addition to the black interior would be adding the dark walnut, which is currently offered with the beige interior. It does not have any red in it, but has enough contrast to stand out a bit from the all-black interior.

Personally I mostly agree with the OP... I think nearly every cosmetic change they've made after 2008 models had uglied up the car inside and out... (though the nav/ipod upgrades for 2010+ models at least bring the car into the current century compared to those things on the pre-10 models)
