Question Quick TPMS question,

Hard to search for this answer with the 'search function' but:

I have TPMS in my rims, but they are not programmed into my car, so i get the usual "check system" indicator. Lately, it has shown "low tire", followed by "check system". One tire was low, so my question is, TPMS work even if they are not programmed? They just give you the error and "check system" constantly? That's how I'm understanding them now.

no, they do not work unless programmed to the car.

the low tire indication is normal followed by the check system.

I have had these tires/rims/tpms on the car since july 2010, and this is the first time i have ever seen "low tire" on the display. It's an '09 if that makes a difference.

I don't know for sure, but if the "Low Tire" warning suddenly came on that makes. So the car is letting you know that at least one sensor is not working at all, and at the same time one of the sensors that is working is low.
