Exclamation What would YOU do?

So two weeks ago a car in the lane next to me kicked up what appeared to be a lid to a 50 gallon drum. It was a 40mph road, car was just ahead of me in the lane next to me. The lid flew upwards into my lane and hit my front bumper. Appeared to not damage anything but after i washed my car i realized it left an impression and light brown skid mark on the bumper (see below). If i had a front license plate it would have hit that haha great irony.

What would you do?

Repair/repaint
Leave it alone
Other?

I just dont know what its worth to fix. And if i fix, should i get a front lip put on while I'm at? I have no plans of lowering though. How goofy does a front lip with no sides/rear look with no drop? It definitely bothers me that my bumper has this flaw though

some Meguiars Ulimate compound should take care of it. The impression will be less noticable once the colour is uniform

I'd just leave it instead of coming out of pocket. a GFX would look ok IMO. There are worse things that could happen.

Bumpers will be bumped. I would buff out the color.

Doesn't appear to be major enough for a complete overhaul. Just buff out the skidmark!

yea dont repaint for this....try to buff it out. and front lip with sides and rear is fine as long as the car is lowered, but front lip or any lip kit on a not lowered car is a nono!

+1 for buffing it out, unless you have other reasons to respray (i.e. excessive paint chips).

Polishing compound will get that out. As for the GFX lip, I did front only (without lowering) and it looks great. I wasn't going for the lowered look. My issue was that my front trim piece below the front bumper had been damaged by the previous owner. I got the GFX lip from Sewell for $135 (already painted), and that was no brainer. Now I see and IS with the factory front lip and think it looks weird. Let me see if I have any decent pics.....

When you saw that lid flying towards your car I can't help but wonder if your bumper was the only thing left sporting a light brown skid mark.

To answer your question, buff it and forget it. Not worth a re-paint.

God, I really have to take a round of good pics of my car. Anyway, here is before:

Here are a few after:

I absolutely love the GFX on the front, am impartial to how the side kit looks, and honestly don't care for the rear kit. I am off Thursday and will have to break out the camera for some side shots....
