I use the USA Spec kit, it does the job, works with steering wheel controls, and touchscreen.

Much cheaper than the VAIS Tech but I haven't used the Vais Tech to compare the two.

 

Ok I have a 2007 IS250 with nav and Ive tried 2 Isimple kits and Neo Gateway PODTY1GV6

I just sent back the neo gateway and there sending me another one bec it was "bad". Is it the NAv thats bad or does anyone know what Im doing wrong. They were all getting installed by pros not me I just watched and the screen goes crazy on SAt mode when it tried to read the ipod??

 

I went with the Vaistech VML kit. Not as good as the ML+, but its half the price with the promo price they are offering the VML. I want to check out this "digital" sound that ive been reading from them and on here. Maybe im just a sucker for packaging lol

 

UPDATE: Spoke to Neo's tech support last night. Then I promptly received an email from a higher up. He offered to swap my unit for the vaistech model that met my needs at no cost. Great customer service. Incredibly generous.

I know this is an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one for this issue.

I have the Neo Gateway PODTY1GV6 in a '07 GS 350 and it has so many issues.


1) I can't control anything on my dash (GPS/audio/climate/source) for at least the first 5-10 min of having the car on.

2) The radio unit randomly shuts off every 15-30 min and won't power back on for about 2 min.

3) The input will change to disc and all CDs will be ejected and then the radio unit will repeat step 2.

4) Nav will stay in night mode for the first 5-10 minutes of the car being on.

5) Aux cable never worked.

This all started the first month of having it installed and got worse and worse to this point now (three months in).

He is going to have an 'engineer' call me back Monday to tell me the same thing I'm sure. "It's a bad unit, dismember your car, take it apart and ship it back, then we'll ship you another bad unit."

What ended up happening with yours?
