I have a 2006 is350 and my car is going crazy. The car suddenly started to beep its horn and shine its parking lights. No, this does not seem like the car alarm. I tried to push all the buttons on my KEY FOB and nothing. I can't even open the door with the KEY FOB. There is definitely a working battery in the KEYFOB since it lights up when I press the buttons. I managed to get in the car by utilizing the manual key. The car won't even start, it just ignores me and keeps honking away in 3 second intervals. nothing works. to prevent my battery to be dead tomorrow morning, I disconnected the battery for now. I tried everything and now I may have to tow my car and nope I'm not under warranty.... :-( Has anyone experienced this? The only recent mod that I have done was HID Fog lights... which could not be the problem right?
How did you install the fogs? did you just plug and play the old sockets? Or did you do a relay?
Uninstall your fogs and eliminate that from the equation. I've had alarms go from leaving the hood open after messing with lights. Take em out and see what happens. At least you can reduce your variables for what might be triggering the alarm

The fogs were plug and play from HIDXTRA. They have been working fine for 2 months now. They are such a ***** to take out... Any ideas? could something be burned off due to the fogs? This has to be some sort of electrical problem right?
Sounds to me like the car is in shut down mode. After the alarm went off (or what sounds like it may be) since you tried different avenues to 'disarm' it (that's what the car is thinking), it shut down. Think: ignition kill.
Before a tow call a service adviser. I know they will say to bring it in, just tell them you are inquiring so you know what your next step will be.
^^ Good call. They could at least point you in the right direction.
Check your owners manual too. There might something about this shut down mode in there.
My Mazda6 used to do that when I would work on it. Do you have a car starter or anything installed? I would close the hood, leave it for a while, then come back unhook and reattach the battery and all would be well again. Obviously different cars, but I feel your pain.
1. Connect the battery.
2. Using manual key, lock door.
3. Immediately unlock it.
4. Do this three times in a row.
5. Wait 45 seconds.
This should reset the alarm.
Note that the windows won't work right since you disconnected the battery. I learned the other night from some members there how to remedy that. But try this first, see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried this and it doesn't seem to help either. It almost seems like not enough power is being shared for the car. Now that I think about it has been a while since I changed my battery. If my LED parking lights, door lights, and LED puddle lights are able to be lit up but nothing else can be done such as radio or HID headlights, could that mean the battery is dying? When I had my old car with a actual key I could tell if the battery was the issue by hearing a ticking noise but with this smart key thing I have no idea what to think.
