Sorry if this has been covered, I tried searching and found a bunch of threads but I couldn't tell which products were factory and which were after-market

I've got a 2011 IS 350 AWD Luxury on order (Navi, ML, fully loaded), and am wondering which iPod integration unit comes with the car. With the correct product name I can do searches and find reviews; I just need to know what the product name is for the iPod integration unit that comes with the car.

There is no "iPod Integration Unit" that comes with the car. There is a USB Port that you can use with an iPod. The factory head unit is what controls it, there is no in between unit.

So Ipod "integration" is already built into the 2011 head unit?

 

iPod audio is fully integrated into the 2011. Playlists, Genre, Artist, Title etc. Video from an iPod would require an adapter.

 

You can also use Bluetooth Audio as well, I love listening with it still in my pocket.

I'll just wait until I get the car and see how I like it before deciding whether to upgrade.
