Default Tire question, very simple. Can you help?

I recently sold my falken 452 245/30/20 they were up front.

They rubbed.

AFTER MUCH READING AND SEARCHING the forums, I understand the bread and butter for my car up front is 235/30/20 if I dont plan on slamming.. However I want to know if that can be replaced with a 225/35/20....

Would I be in jeopardy in safety? anyone have some insight... ?

thanks guys

BTW anyone looking for tires.... tirebuyer.com already beats most plrices from other sites and FREE shipping.

Have you looked at a tire size calculator?

I have but I was hoping to hear it from someone who has had actual experience with this, sometimes those calculators cause a big waste of money.

The correct front tire sizes for the IS 250 (assuming the factory offset) is:

225/45R17
225/40R18
225/35R19
225/30R20

Definitely a pattern there! Depending on the tire/wheel combo they may rub with 235s and most likely will rub with 245s (as you have already found out).

<< running 225/30/20 on a 9" wide rim. dropped 2.5"
225/35/20 rubbed too much for me

You should be fine....the 35 will be ok since you're not planning on slamming.
