How do they go about progaming the sensors? Do they have to be in the wheels already, or and i Hand the dealer 4 sensors in hand and say "here i want these programmed', ?

The sensors don't even need to be present. You just need the ID codes off of them, they then get programmed into the TPMS ECU and it then looks for those signals.

thanks kurtz I did keep my stock sensors so I will be programmin into the 2nd slot.

lexusguy35, exactly what jeff said they dont need to be present u just need the code, but for someone like me who the sensor is already in the rim and mounted with tires you can use the tool I mentioned before.
