If you have an 06 pedal is what you do. 07 and above hold the traction button for 5 sec.

We had some snow here yesterday, and I could barely make it out of my neighborhood. I had pressed the button to turn off the TC (06 350), but the brakes kept applying them selves when the wheels would spin. It took me almost 15 minutes to get the few blocks back home so I could make my girlfriend drive me to work!

In the 06's, I thought the button would work to turn it off as long as you stayed under 30mph or so. I got stuck in the middle of intersections and couldn't go anywhere. It was a real pain. I guess I will just have to leave the IS in the garage the 2 days a year we have snow on the ground here.

Yup it will remain off till you restart the car.

You can't shut it off forever... just until you restart the car (via pedal dance on 06, via the button for 5 seconds on 07+)

I wish the 06 could just hold down the button. But its good to know it. As it works for cars with no track button. ES350. I also rented a Highlander and did the dance. It worked as well! Its so much more fun to drive!

i wish there was a way to turn off traction control where it cuts the throttle but leave the antispin out protection on.

that would be some awesome driving in the snow I think.

That's what happens on 07+ if you just press and release the Trac Off button, it leaves VSC on. Unfortunately it does turn Trac back on after you hit 50km/h (I think it is).
