Do you have glasses in there? They will rattle for sure!

are TSBs even covered when you are out of warranty?

No, TSB's are not covered out of warranty.

I have a rattle over bumps from the same area...also when my subwoofer hits hard. Mine is actually the little box that houses the windshield wiper sensor...but not sure if you have this option. i wedged something between the sensor box and the headliner...seemed to take care of it.

So....again...not sure if you have the rain sensing wipers, but something to check out.

The TSIB/LSB is actually for excessive vibration (thus impairing visibility), not rattling. So when you take your car in, assuming it's under warranty, complain about vibration, not rattling. The fix is an entirely new rear view mirror assembly, which would cost ~$1,000 out of warranty.

I have a rattling/vibration noise coming from my front windshield as well.. I sounds like its coming from the front left point where it meets the dash.. HMMM... Just passed my warranty coverage too

I remember reading that you can tighten up the bolt to reduce the rear view mirror vibration. Perhps it may fix the rattling?

^ Did you complain about excessive vibration (not rattling) to your dealer, like I recommended?
