Default Auto-dimming Mirrors

Hey just wondering if anyone knows if the auto dimming mirrors at Sewell are plug and play in place of the standard mirrors? I'm just way to used to that feature from my last car and would like it back on my 2011 is.

Are you talking about the side mirrors?

I was wondering if it really is plug and play? These mirrors have auto-tilt down when you put the car in reverse. Are you saying the wiring harness is already set-up like this on a car that didn't come with these mirrors standard?

I'm not too worried bout the auto tilt but the dimming is crucial.

I am worried! lol! If I'm gonna pay $800+ for new mirrors, I want all the features to work correctly.

As far as I know, the car itself has to have these options set up (computer?) in order for the side mirrors with auto tilt and auto dimming to work, like the ones equipped with luxury or sport package I believe.

^The auto tilting mirrors are packaged with the telescoping (not manual) steering wheel. Since you are looking to add the tilt-mirror function, I will assume you do not have this option on your car.

My guess would be no since there will be no signal going to the mirrors to tilt when in reverse.

Was the inside rear view mirror on all Lexus auto dimming?

That I am aware, the dimming control signal comes from the rear view mirror in the cabin. If you don't have that, then you have no signal for the outsides.
