i find it more yellow than white yes.

i dont get why its a issue, its personal preference.

Some people can see perfectly fine with 6000k, or 8000k, not everybody likes the oem 4300k that it comes with. A majority of 2IS's have swapped 6000K low beams because they prefer the white, with a tint a blue.

The OEM HID bulbs are 4100K, not 4300K. I'd say 5000K is pretty close to a "pure white" whereas 6000K is white with a hint of blue.

IMO you don't know what your talking about ^^ that's not rice

edit: to shine some light on the actual topic, HIDXTRA in the vendor classifieds sells those 10k kits and they have a nice blue hue. Hard to capture by camera though

It's funny how people can get racist over some lightbulbs..ricer? I can see how that would make somewhat sense (in a twisted sort of way..) if the car YOU were driving were American or European, but the car YOU are driving is Asian, so how would that make any sense for you to say such a remark?..if you don't like it, ya don't have to look at it..lol
nice lights gC86...

Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one..but dammmn, your saying all those sexy looking IS's in our community that have 5000k + are rice? That's very bold statement bro!

BTW, I feel safe and satisfied with the sickness of my 6000k Garax.

Wow, all these replies and no soultions or answers for the OP, just debate on ricer non ricer lol. To the OP, did you get just bulbs or bulbs with ballasts. The oem ballast may not support the wattage of the bulbs.

I just got garax bulbs myself. will I be able to run them on the OEM ballast with no problem?

as for the rice.... many JDM VIP vehicles run more than 6000k... yes the same cars u see and go out and put wheels on your car...

EDIT: I come from stock mercedes HID's, and honestly after upgrading them to 6000K when I had the car I was able to see MUCH better. I know numbers say other wise but when you go 55w and 6000k its actually the brightest white you can get without a YELLOW tint, which IMO is ugly *** hell and 4300K definitely has it.

funny how he calls the majority of the people on this forum "rice" when he use to drive nothing but rice. take a look at what he used to drive and tell me he's not rice himself!

RICE = race inspired cosmetic enhancement

Not sure how 6k/8k/10k is race inspired. And it has nothing to do with Asian vs European vs American. Rice is the hood-scoop on newer Mustangs. Lame!

Ricer is the weedwacker pipe on the back of most altered hondas......ricers are those 4 cylinders with no HP or torque that go around hitting their pipe at every light trying to race. BTW this is not a Honda forum. If you don't have something nice to say then shut the hell up. What someone does to their car that they pay for doesn't matter. Stock OEM lights are for some and not for others.....most don't want the stock look IMO.
