Default HID Question

New to the club, just bought an 08 IS250.
Looking to put some HIDs in....I had 5000k HIDs on my old car (non projector headlights) when I turned the lights on it would start out blueish and as they warmed up would turn to a pure white with little to no blue.
I heard that with projector headlights it will bring out more of the blue color at all times.
Is this correct or should I go up to 6000k to get the slightly more blueish color?

stock HID output is 4300K i believe. If u want it to have the blue tint to it upgrade to 6000K or 6500K.

Im debating ordering the Garax HIDs they run from $89 i think

there is some truth to the notion that projector beam lenses will bring out more of the color spectrum with hid's. but the brand and "batch" of hid's you order will also play a factor as well. depending on the brand/quality of the bulbs and kit some 5000k -65000k bulbs will differ in color hue even if they are the same temperature. i have 5000k hid's and there is a slight blue/violet tint to it, but more white than anything else.

I have 6000k projectors and mine are as white as white can get. No sense of blue when I look at it.

Just keep in mind the more blue it is the more illegal it is I believe, at least in CA.

what HID kit do you guys recommend for the 250s. i want a stock high intensity look, without having to drill any holes into the dust compartment. (more of a plug and play)..
suggestions ?

I went with one of the club lexus supporting vendors HIDextra...got a 6000k H11 kit for $54.00 with the coupon and free shipping

They do just sell the DS4 bulbs instead of the whole kit.
5000k is probably the closest your are going to get to a stock HID look from these guys.
