Default Biggest Mistake!

So I went to the dealer today to set up a service appointment and have them take a look at my key fob because I was having some issues with it and...dun dun dun...I went and looked at the 2011 IS line

I want it lol. I can't wait till my lease is up so I can switch over to the '11. I also felt the mod bug bite my neck a little because, just my luck, they only had the FSport model on the lot and it was amazing.

So...if you're ever ever near the dealership, stay away from the 2011 because you will never look at your car the same way again (although I still love my car, the 2011 is what I cheat on it with).

Is it really that much better? I not seen the 2011 in person yet.. I just finished driving a 2010 for 3weeks while my 2008 was in the shop.. Aside from the drivers side window not being as high (more comfortable to lean my arm on) I couldn't be happier to drive my 2008 again.. I just didnt care for the *feature* changes they did.. I couldn't get use to the sunroof controls and random other stuff I like in my 08 better..

*curious about the 2011* But I wont be getting one any year soon lol..

I had a 10 loaner as well for the weekend and I wasn't overwhelm to buy it either because it's basically still the same car. It's not a huge change, same style, same engine, same navi/feature. Try the ISF instead.

I drove the 09 and 10 IS250's before getting my 08.. honestly only thing i liked that was new, was the turn signals on the mirrors :/

That's funny because i had the complete opposite feeling. When I looked at the 2011's I realized how much more I like my 2008. I feel the 2011's are too "prissy" looking with their ghey L tailights, the fugly sideview mirrors and the hideous front bumper. They no longer look like sports cars to me and look like something a sophisticed 60 year old woman should be driving. The only plus side would be the interior as they made many nice upgrades but the downgrades on the exterior are enough for me not to buy one. I wouldn;t be caught dead driving one around town.

different strokes for different folks. but in any sense, it's great to see the progression from the first MY 2IS till its present form today.

Agreed... I like the 2011 a lot, specially the USB color... Needless to say, I will try not to drop by the dealer to look at them...

Ive actually been trying to go look at the new ones at my dealership but there is not enough new stuff for me to fork out more money... not a big fan of the new front end and the fogs either...

haha. I can see what you mean, but the one I looked at was the F so it had the front lip, fogs, and grille with some nice rims. I guess I should go take a look at a 'stock' one, if you can even find one at this point, and see if I can snap myself out of the exalted feeling I have towards the car lol.

*also the stock bluetooth is a plus, and you dont need to have nav for it.
