Default What's this symbol mean?

I was driving to work and noticed this orange symbol on the bottom right corner of the tachometer. I don't have my manual with me so I can't look it up.

The only thing I did was remove the air box yesterday to add some silicone to my low beam covers.

It shows the back of a car with tire marks on it. What does this symbol represent?

Much appreciated.

It means your traction control system kicked in.

^Tires don't have to spin for VDIM to engage. It's pretty aggressive.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm wondering why it stays on the whole time during my commute (30+ minutes).

I'll check that in a bit. I don't remember touching any buttons last night. All I did was disconnect the battery. My check engine light is on, but I suspect its from the intake.

Edit: turned on car, pushed the traction button. It says TRAC OFF in the display. Kept pushing, but it never said TRAC ON. Is it supposed to say TRAC ON?

No, it won't say it's ON.

If I remember correctly, a symbol will only appear if the TRAC is off. If it's on, you won't see any symbols/dashlights.

Yeah, the MAF sensor was connected last night before I closed the hood.

Thanks. But the symbol stayed on even after turning it off and pushing the button again to turn it back on.
