Just curious to see if anybody has completely debadged their 2IS (all three rear emblems, with recess filled & painted), or if anybody knows of one and can post a photo or link that would be great.

Thanks.

DANG I love that car.

But I'm too fat to sit in it. I'll make it rub.

I did debadge the entire car once I had the Wald wing molded to the trunk and purchased an LX mode grille for the front. People always ask what kind of car it is after they stare at it for a while. I love to keep them guessing. I wasn't going to do it originally, but my body shop suggested it and I ran with it. It looks like an M3 from the rear.

Thanks for the input. I have been thinking about doing this since I got the car back in 2007. I guess I'm just getting closer to making the actual decision yay or nay at this point. The front end is already "Lexus" free.

Thanks for that. It gives me a great idea of what my car would look like with this done.

Thanks, Judd. sffd103's car is a perfect example for me to study and decide.

Thanks for the input. I love the way your car is set up, by the way. I'm not planning to do a trunk spoiler at the moment. Your car may change my mind on that. Looks like they did a very good job molding yours--the ends line up very nicely.

Chrisyano. A lot of work was done to mold that authentic Wald. It wasn't as good a fit for the $ I spent on it. The sides of the rear quarter were also made higher to flow smoothly into the Wald. Fiberglass sides were custom made. It looks so much better with the sides compared to the 1/2" drop it would have had without making them. Good luck with your decision. Thanks for the props. Post pics when done.

I was wondering about that--whether it was an extension of the spoiler or the other way around. I agree though that the raised sides on the quarter panels make the whole rear end on your car. If I may ask, how does it look with the trunk open (not that it would matter)? And did it make the trunk lid a lot heavier? Thanks for the candid input on your spoiler set up.

Awesome pic. Thank you for posting it. This is johnnyboy's IS, right? I'm so glad I asked you guys because I wasn't getting very far on my own.

I've always wanted to do it. The only thing stopping me is it's a pretty permanent change and basically irreversible unless I'm mistaken. No "back to stock" for the trunk if I do this.

Thanks.

Yeah. Looks clean with the L still on--I agree. I'm kind of on an all-or-nothing tilt and hope I make the right call. Seeing the two pics above really helps me not have to just picture it in my head.
